BEN + STEPHANIE

MERRIBEE

How you met: We met at the swimming pool. Ben was Stephanie's swim coach.

Who popped the question and how? Ben popped the question at The Woods Cafe in Bangalow. He thought it was quirky seeing as his surname is Wood.

Why you chose this venue: We loved the rustic appeal of Merribee and especially loved all the space and the beautiful gardens. Being dog friendly was also a bonus.

Was this a destination wedding? Yes, we are from the Central Coast of NSW.

Why did you choose the NSW South Coast? We wanted something different from what the venues in our area offered. We also loved the idea of spending a weekend away with all our family and friends.

Tips for planning a destination wedding: Give your guests plenty of notice so they can book accommodation. Organise drinks the night before and a recovery breakfast the day after the wedding so you can spend lots of time with your guests.

Wedding Theme: Country style with a touch of Boho.

Special touches that made your wedding extra lovely: Having our dog at the wedding was very special to us.

Any DIY projects: Ben's mum created the bomboniere tea vials. We bought polaroid cameras for the guests to take photos of themselves, and we made a photo board for them to stick the polaroid photos onto. This board now sits in our lounge room.

Sources of inspiration: Instagram and Rue De Seine.

Where did you source your suppliers from? Instagram, Google searches, South Coast Wedding Fair website and recommendations.
